Workshop Descriptions
1. Singing, Rhythm and Improvisation
Hold by Monika Pullerits and Mall Ney
This workshop will combine the basic principles of Kodaly-method and Orff-Schulwerk like music belongs to everybody, singing as a basic experience and improvisation as a play. Trough active participation this workshop will lead the attendees from the experiences to the understanding
2. Preschool Music education
Hold by Anu Lõhmus
You can observe different music activities, which should be held in a Kindergarten. This workshop will be hold in the Music Academy and bring preschool children as partners to the workshop.
3. Working methods with vocal ensembles
Hold by Mirjam Dede (http://meero.ee/mm)
The participants can observe and interact with vocal ensemble activities. This workshop will be hold in a venue outside of the academy, in the private Hobby-School “Meero Muusik” to bring the experience as close to the real situation as possible.
4. Estonian traditional music
Hold by Leanne Barbo
This workshop will ask you to participate actively to experience Estonian traditional folk music. Through songs, dances and typical instruments you will get in touch with the rich culture of Estonian music.
5. Relative Kodaly system in choral work
Hold by Ingrid Kõrvits and Ellerhein Girls’ Choir (http://ellerhein.ee/en)
This Workshop will show how the relative method can be used in a choir. Trough observational of a choir that is assisting the lecturer, the participant can get an idea of the practical implementation of the relative method.
6. Baby music
Hold by Nele Kivinukk (http://tasapisi.ee/rutmipall)
This workshop will be hold in a venue outside of the academy, to bring the experience as close to the real situation as possible. Therefore, this workshop will take double the time than others and thus give the participant the possibility to attend just this workshop for the specific day. This is an observational workshop to present the work with babies and music.
